Literacy 101, Section 1438-B

In the video that goes with the article linked below, the narrator repeatedly pronounces "puss" (for "puss caterpillar, so called because of its coating of soft-appearing fur that makes it look like a tiny, legless kitten) as if it were spelled "pus." "Puss" refers to a cat; "pus" to oozing fluid consisting of dead bacteria that have infected a wound. Please, please, PLEASE, people, learn how to use the language properly, okay? After all, it's all about communication, and carelessness in your use of the language leads to confusion, miscommunication, and a host of other problems.
