An anonymous source claiming to work inside of the Los Angeles Department of Health Services recently dropped a bombshell that could set a dangerous new precedent in how the government deals with those they find to be a burden or threat to a stable society.

If this is true, they will find ways to do it to anyone they want. It's time to speak out against this.

There is no such thing as the 'Los Angeles Department of Health Services'. The entity known as the 'Los Angeles COUNTY Department of Health Services' is an agency of the County government only.

The City of Los Angeles is located in Los Angeles county, of course, but the City and the County governments have entirely separate jurisdictions. The County has jurisdiction only over unincorporated areas in L.A. county, not incorporated cities like Los Angeles, where Skid Row is located. The City of Los Angeles is in fact well known for being very homeless-friendly (much to the dismay of many of its residents, I might add), and the County areas (most of which are suburban residential areas) have no real homeless 'problem' to begin with. Adding to my skepticism is that this article totally fails to distinguish between the City and the County, making it sound like the City is the one that has these plans, but the 'informant' allegedly works for the Los Angeles COUNTY Department of Health Services, which, as I said, has no jurisdiction to operate within the City of L.A. at all.

That's good to know. I post articles like these hoping to get feedback about whether they are real or bogus. While I can't stand the Left, I'm well aware that there is a massive supply of liars, frauds, and really stupid people on the Right, as well, and some of them write articles that could (a) be intended to discredit the Right by providing phony information that gets proved to be such, (b) start a panic stampede among credulous Right-wing types who read those articles faithfully and believe them all, or (c) be written by really stupid, ignorant people for no discernible purpose. It sounds like this one fits somewhere among those three possibiities.
