Sample: "I’m sick of these whiny losers who are oh so upset because girls wont have sex with them. We wont have sex with you morons because you are wimps, girly men, you act like you’re gay, you suck at everything: You can’t change a tire, you can’t replace a sink or faucet–I can do all three, you can’t plaster walls or lay down floors–I can do both because my contractor builder dad has taught me to literally be a “Rehab Addict” ala that TV show, because dad said you’ve had me to fix and replace and restore and rebuild everything, but you need to know so you wont pay a fortune for some imbecile from a foreign country who can’t do it, or some stupid American kid who can’t do anything but comb his girly hair!"

Love it!

But what about the self-proclaimed Sluts? If one of then had taken a moment from her Walk and spread for the boy, seven people would be alive today.

Okay, I TOTALLY don't mean that. It was just a poke.

That's okay.

One thing I wonder about: Why the hell didn't Elliot Rodger's dad hire a high-class call girl for a night or three with Elliot, so at least he couldn't say he hadn't had sex? Elliot's dad is a well-respected director in Hollywood -- he was a director on one of the Hunger Games films -- and is very well-off, so he could have afforded it. On the other hand, that might not have changed Elliot for the good at all -- his mind was clearly so twisted that all the sex in the world wouldn't have satisfied him by the time he decided to go on his rampage.

He apparently was under Psychiatric care since the age of eight as well. And we've seen what a long term diet of SSRI's and other miracle mental pills can do to a kid. They can turn s mopey depressed suicidal kid into an energetic, excited suicidal kid who wants to takes his friends with him.

From everything I've heard about SSRIs, that could well be the case. On the other hand, though, it seems Elliot Rodger went off his meds a couple of months before his rampage. Professors, UCSB staff, and people in Isla Vista said his behavior began to deteriorate around that time, his mood getting darker and darker, until he threw his homicidal tantrum on May 23rd. SSRIs do have some awful side-effects, but if you've been taking them for a long time and then suddenly quit, cold turkey, that can do terrible things to the brain, too. Doctors really ought to find some other way to treat their psychiatric patients.

That's what I was getting at, they don't fix the problem, but mask it while it gets worse. They get off the drugs and they haven't been cured, but left with an even worse chemical imbalance than they started with.

Yep. There has to be a better way. That obviously wasn't it.

Elliot Rodger was definitely a cry-baby. But he was in therapy since he was 8 years old, and had been taking SSRIs (antidepressants, etc.) for a long, long time. A couple of months before his rampage he went off his meds, cold turkey, and according to those who knew him, became weirder and weirder from then on until his homicidal tantrum. SSRIs can have bad side-effects. Going off them suddenly without tapering them off or taking something else, instead, can have far worse ones. I don't doubt that he was a spoiled brat. His parents tried to give him everything he wanted, which fed into his narcissistic, entitlement mentality. So did the fact that he was the son of a famous director in Hollywood -- all those movies and World of Warcraft (he was an afficianado of the game) and video games like Grand Theft Auto would have shaped his outlook, too. But add to that taking SSRIs for years and then suddenly going off them, cold turkey, and you have a recipe for disaster. As witness.
