My mistake -- he doesn't push his water-dispenser away from the tub, he pulls it out from there. With one hand, as he stands on the other and his feet. My cat is a NUT.
Does Gollum ogle Elven ladies? (Okay, so he sure as hell doesn't ogle Orc ladies -- but then, nobody does. Not even Orc gentlemen. Or Orc hooligans, for that matter.)

You know, there's one conspiracy that the conspiracy theorists haven't even considered, concerning realpolitik. The regimentation of Communism would make it very easy for extraterrestrials to manipulate human societies from behind the scenes for their own purposes. Which means that President Obama's ascension could have been brought about by just such extraterrestrials, to tame all those pesky, individualistic Americans and make them easy to herd and use and use up. Not that that actually happened. I'm just saying.
(Shit -- did it again. Just had to correct the spelling in the damn header for this entry, from "Conspracies" to "Conspiracies.")

Just heard thunder outside. The clouds are low and heavy, and it was raining earlier. The wind is up, and it's quite chilly outside. Which is good -- this interrupts more of that hot, muggy weather and clears the air. :-)

About the only thing they didn't have in there was Gollum boogalooing with ET.

I am tempted to say "the Republican Party," but they're no longer great. How about the one in Isla Vista, California back in -- well, never mind.

"A volcano on Krakatoa is still erupting. Perhaps most famous for the powerfully explosive eruption in 1883 that killed tens of thousands of people, ash from a violent eruption might also have temporarily altered Earth's climate as long as 1500 years ago. In 1927, eruptions caused smaller Anak Krakatau to rise from the sea, and the emerging volcanic island continues to grow at an average rate of 2 cm per day. The latest eruption of Anak Krakatau started in 2008 April and continues today. Pictured above, Anak Krakatau is seen erupting from Rakata, the main island of the Krakatoai group. High above, stars including the Big Dipper are clearly apparent. The image was taken though a tree that recently became engulfed by the sea. . . ." This morning I had yet another lucid dream (nightmare) about wandering along the side of a freeway that looked rather like US 101 as it goes through Santa Barbara and Goleta in California, headed east, trying to find a way up the banks lining the freeway to roads that would take me on into the nearby suburban areas. It felt as if I were chewing something that was a meld of cardboard and mucus, and I ended up prying it out of my mouth and throwing it onto the ground (when I woke up, my mouth tasted Horrible). I was worried that the cops would stop me and ask me why I was traveling along the edge of the freeway, which didn't have a sidewalk or other protected zone, or try to stop me when I tried to cross the on-off ramps to get to an off-ramp that would take me where I wanted to go, which was away from the freeway and the snarls of interchanges with other freeways that never seemed to take anyone out of that system. There weren't many people around -- the world was, as usual, depopulated and overgrown, as if people had simply begun dying out there. I found a way down into a structure underneath an overpass or on-ramp that was a sort of restaurant. It wasn't pleasant, and it wasn't where I wanted to be. Then someone working or living there showed me how to get where I wanted to go by climbing a low, weak fence and head for a low wall which, if I climbed it, would take me to an overpass that would get me into the suburbs. I did that, and that's when I woke up. With a headache and that horrible taste in my mouth.
